JEREMY BUSCH - Partner
In addition to being a partner at Turtle Holdings, Jeremy is Chairman of Vortex Freight Systems. Previously, he led Canadian investing for Huron Capital, an operationally-focused private equity firm that focuses on lower-middle market companies. Prior to this, Jeremy gained experience with TorQuest Partners and Wind Point Partners. He holds a BAH in economics and mathematics from Queen's University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Jeremy spends the bulk of his spare time standing on the side of a ski hill with a cowbell in hand and is also an enthusiastic endurance athlete.
DANNY HERTZ - Partner
In addition to being a partner at Turtle Holdings, Danny is Vice President, Pricing & Strategy at Vortex Freight Systems. Previously, he invested in businesses of all sizes at Maverick Capital. Danny also spent time at Goldman Sachs where he worked with founders and CEOs on leadership & transition issues – including evaluating and completing the sale of their businesses. He holds a B. Comm from Queen’s University, where he is actively involved as an alumnus. When not working on new investments, in the winter Danny can be found at the curling rink, in the summer is often on the golf course, and year round serves with the college and careers ministry at his local church, Westminster Chapel.
MICHAEL LEVIN - Partner
In addition to being a partner at Turtle, Michael is Chairman of an Ontario-based consumer products company, leading various operational initiatives. Prior to joining Turtle, Michael spent 20+ years as an investment banker and principal investor, most recently leading the Mergers and Acquisitions division for a Canadian Bank, as well as the Diversified Industries (Consumer, Industrials, Services) teams. Prior, Michael was a Partner at Genuity Capital Markets. Michael started his career at Morgan Stanley in New York and spent time at PepsiCo’s head office in New York identifying and executing acquisition opportunities globally. Michael holds an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. Michael spends his free time cooking, riding, and driving his active family to hockey.
MATT TAYLOR - Partner
As a Partner at Turtle, Matt is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and supporting new investment opportunities. He previously spent over a decade at CPP Investments supporting founders and management teams drive long term sustainable growth. In addition, Matt spent time at Barclays Capital advising on acquisitions and financings. He holds a B. Comm from Queen’s University, where he was also a varsity athlete. Outside the office, Matt enjoys his time on the golf course, as a sports fan, and trying out new recipes with family and friends.
